Year 3 Summary

Year 3.  The third year of constructions was spent mostly working on the smaller details.  As you can see on the photo, the plane looked like it could fly at the end of year 2.  Much of the major airframe components were already recognizable and present.  However, much of the systems were not installed, adjusted or finalized.  Also, the airframe showed numbers of areas where body panels fit poorly, not fit at all or in a rough shape.

Below is how it looks at the end of the year 3.  While the progress is subtle, there are many.  Most notably, the engine is hang now, together with the prop.  The cowl fits now with openings for servicing and maintenance.  The transitions between wing and the strake are smooth and so are the areas around the inboard edges of the strake.  Still, much work needs to be done.
